Beth ydi’r prosiect?
Mae PERERINDOD yn brosiect newydd gan Invertigo a Chwmni Tebot sydd am gefnogi artistiaid i greu gwaith newydd, beiddgar, a ffurfio cysylltiadau gydag artistiaid drwy Gymru a Gwlad y Basg.
Rydym yn chwilio am bump artist o unrhyw ddisgyblaeth celfyddydol i archwilio’r thema ‘Pererindod’.
Byddwn yn cynnig comisiwn o £800 i bob artist greu eu gwaith dros yr Haf. Mae’r comisiwn hon yn gynwysedig o bob agwedd o’r gwaith, gan gynnwys ffî yr artist, unrhyw ddeunyddiau, offer neu weithwyr llawrydd ychwanegol fydd yn ymuno ȃ’r prosiect.
Uchafbwynt y prosiect fydd Gŵyl Rithiol Pererindod lle byddwn yn arddangos a dathlu’r gwaith newydd dros wythnos ym mis Medi. Gobeithiwn hefyd y bydd modd arddangos peth o’r gwaith yn y cnawd yn ddibynnol ar sefyllfa COVID-19.
Cefnogwyd y prosiect gan ein partneriaid Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru, Eisteddfod Genedlaethol, Llenyddiaeth Ar Draws Ffiniau, a’r Ymddiriedolaeth Genedlaethol. Byddwn hefyd yn gweithio gydag artistiaid o Wlad y Basg a mi fyddent hwythau yn ymateb i’r syniad o ‘Bererindod’. Mae’r prosiect yma wedi derbyn grant Cysylltu a Ffynnu gan Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru, Llywodraeth Cymru, a’r Loteri Genedlaethol.
What’s the project?
PERERINDOD/PILGRIMAGE is a new project by Invertigo and Cwmni Tebot to support artists to create bold, new work, while forging links with other artists throughout Wales and the Basque country.
We’re looking for five artists of any art disciplines to explore the theme of ‘Pererindod/Pilgrimage’.
We are offering £800 commissions to each artist to create the work over Summer. This commission covers all aspects of the work, including the artist fee, any additional materials, equipment or freelancers who will be joining the project.
The highlight of the project will be Virtual Pilgrimage Festival where we will showcase and celebrate the new work over a week in September. We also hope that we’ll be able to exhibit some of the work in the real world depending on the Covid-19 situation.
The project is supported by our partners Natural Resources Wales, Eisteddfod Genedlaethol, Literature Across Frontiers and The National Trust. The project will also work with Basque artists who will also respond to the idea of a ‘Pilgrimage’. The project is made possible by a Connect and Flourish Grant by Arts Council Wales, Welsh Government, and the National Lottery.
