Written in just six days after escaping from a prisoner of war camp and walking 370 miles back to Hamburg, Wolfgang Borchert’s vivid interpretation of his own story shines a light on the aftermath of war. Throw yourself into his world of darkly comic, grotesque characters.

Established by four 2012 Guildhall School of Music and Drama graduates, Invertigo are an audience-centric theatre company and production house.
Our mission is to represent the lesser-known — new work, unique ways of storytelling and adaptations of unfamiliar European work.
Our drive and creativity has been widely recognised through awards such as the Deutsche Bank Award for Creative Enterprises 2012 as well as a creative space residency at IdeasTap. We have just taken an ambitious programme of work to HighTide Festival 2013 as resident company.
We are thrilled to be taking Outside on the Street as our debut to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Invertigo would like to thank the following people, for their help and support with this production:
The entire team at the Pleasance, Robert Carreon, Janis Price, Wendy Allnutt, Kay Michael, Chloe Edwards, Fiona Laird, the team at IdeasTap, Deutsche Bank, Scottish Daily Mail, all the actors, directors, writers involved in Senses (HighTide), Montezuma, Kickstarter, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Colin Mander at Calculated Manufacturing
Our expenses at Edinburgh were part-funded by our successful Kickstarter campaign. Thanks to your incredible generosity we were 166% funded within days!
