Dau actor.
Dim ond un sydd wedi darllen y sgript.
DYN YN TROI COEDEN YN FERCH!
Mae tad yn colli ei ferch mewn damwain car.
Mae fel ei fod mewn drama – heb wybod y geiriau na’r symudiadau.
Mae’r dyn oedd yn gyrru’r car yn hypnotydd llwyfan.
Ers y ddamwain, mae ei sioe yn fethiant, mae wedi colli ei bŵer i ddylanwadu.
Heno, am y tro cyntaf ers y ddamwain, mae’r ddau’n cyfarfod pan mae’r Tad yn gwirfoddoli i gymryd rhan yn sioe’r Hypnotydd.
Two actors.
Only one has read the script.
MAN TURNS TREE INTO WOMAN!
A man loses his daughter to a car.
It’s like he’s in a play – but he doesn’t know the words or the moves.
The man who was driving the car is a stage hypnotist.
Since the accident, his act’s a disaster, he’s lost the power of suggestion.
Tonight, for the first time since the accident, these two people meet when the Father volunteers for the Hypnotist’s act.
DRAMODYDD YN TROI ACTOR YN GYMERIAD!
Dau actor. Mae Steffan Donnelly yn chwarae’r Hypnotydd, ond mae’r Tad yn actor gwahanol bob nos sy’n dod ar y llwyfan heb weld neu darllen gair o’r ddrama tan i’r sioe ddechrau. Bydden yn cyhoeddi’r actorion fydd yn ymuno ar y daith yn fuan.
Mae Derwen yn archwiliad arbrofol o golled, maddeuant, a pŵer y meddwl, sydd wedi cyffroi cynulleidfaoedd ar draws y byd. Dyma brofiad theatrig unigryw, yn llawn cyfoeth theatraidd, hiwmor tywyll, a stori sy’n bachu’r dychymyg.
Dyma gyfle i weld drama arobryn un o ddramodwyr blaenllaw Prydain, Tim Crouch, mewn addasiad Cymraeg, am y tro cyntaf erioed, gan Mared Llywelyn Williams (Ennillydd Medal Ddrama yr Urdd 2017) a chwmni theatr Invertigo (Y Tŵr, My Body Welsh – 5 Enwebiad Gwobrau Theatr Cymru).
Mae’r cynhyrchiad Cymraeg yma oddeutu 1 awr.
Canllaw oed 14+.
DRAMATIST TURNS ACTOR INTO CHARACTER!
Two actors. Steffan Donnelly plays the hypnotist, but the Father is a different actor each night, who walks on stage having neither seen nor read a word of the play they’re in. We will announce the guest actors joining the production soon.
Derwen (An Oak Tree) is a breath-taking exploration of grief, forgiveness, and the power of suggestion, which has thrilled audiences across the world. It contains a dazzling balance of gripping story, rich theatricality and shocking humour.
A chance to see this award-winning play by one of Britain’s prominent theatremakers, Tim Crouch, in a Welsh translation by Mared Llywelyn Williams (Winner Drama Medal Urdd Eisteddfod 2017) Invertigo Theatre Company (Y Tŵr, My Body Welsh – 5 Wales Theatre Award Nominations).
This production is in Welsh and runs at 1 hour.
Recommended for ages 14+.

A week ago today #Derwen / #AnOakTree made me fall in love with the real magic of a performance like only theatre can – by inviting us to see how it's not magic at all. Adding to that the Welsh language that's so hugely expressive that I almost believed I understand it 🏴❤ pic.twitter.com/1krv6P4lZ3
